Strolling under the moonlight,
Talking and laughing,
Setting aside the hunger and exhaustion we feel
To check if everyone is safe and sound,
Shots of the moments in everyone’s family are a must.
Going back to our homes,
Tired and famished, thrilled to be back.
Along the way we saw something
A blackish-purple plant, hanging from the vines,
That grows several feet, near one of our premises.
A sudden stare the giggled,
A joke made green
It was an eggplant still trying to expand and flourish,
And everyone’s burnout and boredom paid-off,
In that one joke that everyone gets while others are at rest.
